Jeffrey L. Greyber, born in Jamestown, New York, is a 2004 graduate of Cornell University (Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences Pre-Med, cum laude) and a 2007 graduate of the University of Miami School of Law (Juris Doctor, cum laude). While in law school, Mr. Greyber served as an intern for Judge Peter R. Palermo Fellow for the Center of Ethics & Public Service – Children & Youth Law Clinic. Mr. Greyber’s civil litigation practice is concentrated on representing insurance policyholders in coverage and bad faith disputes.
Prior to joining the Merlin Law Group, P.A., in May 2012, Mr. Greyber practiced for five years at Ver Ploeg & Lumpkin, P.A., in Miami, Florida. Mr. Greyber’s insurance practice at Ver Ploeg & Lumpkin also concentrated in the areas of coverage and bad faith disputes. Mr. Greyber has successfully represented a range of property policyholder clients (from large condo associations to individual residential property owners) in litigation against large insurance companies. His experience includes, but is not limited to, property insurance, disability insurance (ERISA and non-ERISA), health insurance (ERISA and non-ERISA), life insurance (ERISA and non-ERISA), long-term care insurance (ERISA and non-ERISA), commercial general liability insurance, and marine insurance. Mr. Greyber has contributed articles to the South Florida Business Journal and The Journal of the Healthcare Billing and Management Association on industry-related subjects such as windstorm, health, and disability insurance coverage, and he publishes industry-related blog articles on a near weekly basis. Mr. Greyber is a member of the Palm Beach County Bar Association, Florida Justice Association, Palm Beach County Justice Association, and the Florida Association of Public Insurance Adjusters (FAPIA). Mr. Greyber is admitted to the Florida Bar, Texas Bar, New York Bar, District of Columbia Bar, and the U.S. District Court for the Southern, Middle, and Northern Districts of Florida, the U.S. District Court for the Western and Northern Districts of New York, and the U.S. District Court for the Southern, Eastern and Nothern Districts of Texas.
