Biography
Miranda D. Martin is a lifelong San Francisco resident and an active member of her community. Her legal career has always been rooted in advocating for individuals who have historically been underserved.
At Merlin Law Group, Miranda represents property owners and policyholders in disputes with their insurance carriers. Her practice focuses on first-party property insurance claims, including matters involving breach of contract and insurer bad faith. She helps clients understand and protect their rights when carriers fail to fulfill their obligations under the policy or the law.
Before joining the firm, Miranda served for three years as a staff attorney at a San Francisco legal aid clinic, where she assisted residents facing landlord-tenant disputes. She represented hundreds of residents through alternative dispute resolution, including mandatory settlement conferences and mediations, as well as litigation and trials.
Miranda was drawn to Merlin Law Group and property insurance law by the opportunity to apply her civil litigation experience to a wider range of property-related disputes across multiple jurisdictions. Miranda brings to Merlin Law Group a strong commitment to client advocacy, a broad litigation background, and a strategic approach to analyzing and resolving complex legal disputes.
Outside of her legal practice, Miranda enjoys painting with oils on canvas. She is also a devoted mother and an active participant in her children’s lives. Much of her free time is spent with her family and friends, attending practices, games, school functions and other community events throughout San Francisco.
