Charles Kenneth Cicero III, Esq.

Biography

Charles is proud to leverage his extensive litigation and construction experience to help policyholders protect and enforce their rights in disputes with their property insurance companies. He brings over twenty-five years of construction industry experience, gained from managing his family’s roofing and construction business. This boots on the ground experience has proven crucial in understanding and evaluating the technical aspects of an insurance claim. Charles has proven valuable in his ability to speak the language of the construction industry in connecting with contractors and even claims adjusters to resolve claims swiftly and favorably.

Prior to working at The Merlin Law Group, Charles established the Louisiana office of, and built a robust docket of cases for, a nationally recognized plaintiff firm from the ground up. He also previously worked as a defense attorney for one of the largest firms in the country. In this practice, he successfully defended cases involving personal injury and property insurance claims, including numerous cases from Hurricanes Laura, Delta, Zeta, and Ida. This taught him much about the inner working of the insurance industry and the tactics used to delay and underpay insurance claims. Following Hurricane Ida, he returned to his roots assisting homeowners and commercial property owners.

Currently, Charles is licensed to appear in all state and federal courts in Louisiana and Mississippi. He is also licensed to appear in all state courts in Florida, Texas, Alabama, Ohio, and recently, Arkansas. In addition to his work at The Merlin Law Group, Charles is actively involved in St. Patrick’s Church and the Knights of Columbus, serving as Deputy Grand Knight of Marquette Council in New Orleans. In his spare time, Charles enjoys spending time with his wife and two young daughters, cooking, juggling, and enjoying many of the wonderful events and sights New Orleans has to offer, especially Mardi Gras.
