Jamie Harris, Esq.

Biography

A Florida gator through and through, Jamie received both her Juris Doctor at the University of Florida Fredric G. Levin College of Law, and her undergraduate degree — a Bachelor of Science in political science and entrepreneurship — from the University of Florida.

Prior to joining Merlin Law Group, Jamie has always had a penchant for the law, taking a summer legal internship while she earned her college degree. Her time there gave her great exposure and real-life experience to the many tasks of a lawyer. Jamie also served as general counsel extern for Santa Fe College. As a certified legal intern at the University of Florida Juvenile Law Clinic, she represented juvenile clients under the supervision of an attorney in dependency and delinquency proceedings, including trials, pleadings, judicial review hearings, status conferences, and other matters. She worked closely with Partnership for Strong Families and the Department of Juvenile Justice, various Assistant State Attorneys, and numerous public defenders to determine children’s best interests and needs.

Upon graduation, Jamie worked at several other law firms, branching out in new directions, honing her legal skills, and racking up experiences in varying types of law, including bankruptcy and general litigation. Always a firm believer in justice and fair and ethical representation, Jamie is a welcome addition to the Merlin Law Group where she works tirelessly for policyholder’s rights.

Jamie is licensed in Florida.
