Anthony Orlando is an up-and-coming attorney out of Merlin Law Group’s Tampa office. His practice is primarily devoted to first-party property insurance claim disputes, as well as bad faith insurance litigation.
Anthony attended Florida State University, where he received his B.S. in Political Science with a certificate in Emergency Management and Homeland Security. After college, Anthony attended Stetson University College of Law where he went on to graduate cum laude and in the top 10% of his class. Anthony’s persistence and dedication to his studies resulted in him receiving the highest-grade for the following classes: Torts, Juvenile Law Seminar and Florida Constitutional Law. At graduation, Anthony was the recipient of Stetson University College of Law’s Florida Constitutional Law Award.
During law school, Anthony was involved in the Honor’s Program and served as an Editor of Stetson’s Journal of Comparative and International Aging Law & Policy. Towards the end of his law school career, Anthony and a close friend started Stetson Law’s Insurance Law Association. He also clerked for a federal judge at the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida. There he helped research and draft several opinions, including large-scale class-action lawsuits.
Anthony joined Merlin Law Group in the Summer of 2018, where he started as a law clerk. Upon graduation from law school, Anthony remained with the firm and began his career as a first-party property insurance attorney.
He has written several blog posts across many different subjects and jurisdictions and was recently featured in Chip Merlin’s, “Tuesdays at 2,” where he discussed bad faith actions in the Virgin Islands. This can be found here: https://fb.watch/1FodvstOUO/
